Healthy Siouxland Initiative (HSI) is a collaborative community effort comprised of local health care providers, educators, human service personnel, physicians, religious leaders, social agency staff, and law enforcement officials.
HSI has nearly 100 individual members representing over 30 organizations in Siouxland. Our mission is “To Build partnerships that assure a healthy and safe community.” This group of individuals is also responsible for assisting in completing the Community Health Needs Assessment and Health Improvement Plan for our area. Currently our identified areas of need that are discussed at our monthly meetings are: Obesity, Substance Abuse/Tobacco, Teen Pregnancy, Housing, Access to Care, Cancer Screenings and Mental Illness.
Meetings are held at Siouxland District Health Department typically on the 4th Thursday of the month from 12:00- 1:00 p.m. and are open to the public.

Healthy Siouxland is a coalition designed to improve the health and wellness of residents in the Siouxland area. We are a cross sector group of agencies that meet on a quarterly basis to share project updates of several working coalitions and grants that are related to chronic diseases, physical activity and nutrition.
Meeting are held at Siouxland District Health Department from 2:30- 4:00 p.m. and are open to the public.
